Amy teaches at her studio in Charlottetown, PEI and online. She welcomes absolute beginners of all ages through to advanced students at the university level.

Amy has taught private woodwind lessons for 25 years in Charlottetown, Toronto and Victoria (BC) and has guided hundreds of students to reach their goals and their potential. She is the clarinet instructor at UPEI, where she also teaches a woodwind methods course. In January 2027, she will be joining the faculty of music at Mount Allison University as Instructor of clarinet and saxophone. She has also taught beginner flute classes at York University, coached the woodwind sections of a Toronto-based marching band, and led many clarinet clinics.

She was named Teacher of Distinction for the Atlantic Region by the Royal Conservatory of Music for 2024.

Lesson Policies

Payment: Payment is due on the first day of each month. Accepted forms of payment are cash or e-transfer. Please contact Amy regarding fees and cancellation policies.

Instruments & Materials: Students should come prepared with instruments, sheet music, notebooks/binders, reeds, swabs, etc. Students will be responsible for purchasing their own music and reeds.
